Bite size standards is currently a failure but that’s okay

Tuesday July 11, 2006

So Bite Size Standards has taken a bit criticism, some of it valid.

No, I am not about to apologize on behalf of everyone involved because I think everyone involved in the design and build of BSS did a bloody great job and for no pay too!

I am not about to apologize for anything in fact because I am just not in the mood for apologizing at the moment.

The thing is I have learnt a lot about multi-author blogging as a result of the whole process. I have also learnt a lot about what it means when someone says they want to be involved.

So what next?

If thinking of BSS as currently dead, or crap, or irresponsible helps ease your frustration then consider it that, dead, crap or irresponsible for tax reasons, for the moment. In reality I am waiting to talk to a couple of people before I make any decisions but it is likely I/we may have to restart the project (with the current design though) taking on board everything learned and applying it. Or it is entirely possible it
will be abandoned; I just don’t know.

Please do not email me about it, really I won’t reply. Like I say, I have a conversation to have and once I have had that I will tell you more.
